We have all witnessed a breakup where someone’s toxic ex blames them for all the problems in the relationship and breaks their heart. When this happens it is always heartwarming to witness them moving onto a healthy relationship where they are appreciated and allowed to grow. That is exactly what Saleh has done now that he was able to leave the mess that is the New York Jets. Since being dumped by Woody Johnson and company in a move that Aaron reportedly had nothing to do with, something that is about as believable as my four-year-old saying he didn’t steal any candy when there was chocolate on his face, Saleh has found a sense of stability in one of the pettiest ways. Saleh immediately started dating Aarons old ex while simultaneously linking up with one of his closest friends Matt LaFluer (truly a for the bois move). In his new role he will use his defensive mind to help the offense prepare week in and week out while not having to be questioned on why his starting quarterback is off in Egypt or locking himself in closets to experience total darkness. During this time Saleh will get to stay active in the game he loves and continue to grow while witnessing what a functioning franchise looks like. All valuable skills that will benefit him when he inevitably gets a defensive coordinator job next year. He will also get the necessary therapy of talking with Matt LaFluer as they both probably have some horror stories to share regarding their former quarterback. To top it all off his firing did not fix the stagnate Jets offense and since his departure the defense, the Jets one bright spot, has only gotten worse. The biggest takeaway from all of this is that when things go bad and you need a break you can always count on the bois to have your back.
