Another week is in the books and let’s pray we do not have an afternoon slate like we just had
ever again. The only fun part of that was watching the cowboys implode. This time of year,

we
start to see more and more teams have their playoff hopes crushed, cough Jets cough, while
other teams continue to round into form. As the Chiefs continue to perform acts of dark magic
and the Bears can’t help but be the Bears let’s take a look at the major storylines from this
week.
NFC Takeaways
We have to start with the Lions as Jared Goff ruined my MVP future and threw five, count them,
FIVE interceptions only to have the defense play phenomenal and make the plays that count in
the end and sneak out a win. With the Lions able to find a way to win a game they didn’t have
their best stuff this is a sign of a true contender. The Falcons continue to mystify me as I think
they have figured it out only for them to lose to a not great Saints team. The NFC South is a
toss up at this point but with only eight weeks left I think Atlanta will be able to limp into the
playoffs. Looking at a team that is the exact opposite of the Falcons, the Cardinals continue to
be the surprise of the NFL as they dismantled the Jets and crashed their playoff hopes (ya we
use puns here). I continue to owe Kyler Murray a lengthy apology as he has been awesome and
this team seems to be hitting their stride after a rough start to the season. The Vikings played a
game against the Jags, that’s about all I got. The Bears continue to ruin careers as Caleb
Williams should have refused to play there as the o-line and offensive coordinator may be
plotting to get him killed. Its getting to the point I am starting to feel bad for him. I’m going to
admit something here that can’t be used against me, I still believe in Bryce Young. Unlike the
Colts I think the Panthers handled this benching well and allowed him to regain some
confidence and find the fun in the game again. He may be an average QB yet.
AFC Takeaways
Whatever ritual or sacrifice the Chiefs made to allow this undefeated season to continue it just
isn’t fair. In a game where the Broncos played good and Nix looked way better than last week
the Chiefs come back from the brink of death to block a kick and steal a win, Bills please save
us. Speaking of the Bills, Josh Allen continues to have a strong season and make his case for
runner up in the MVP race. The Bills made some errors in this game but in a game that started
with a Joe Flacco interception they had some wiggle room. The Colts seem to be trending in all
the wrong directions and the benching of Anthony Richardson has clearly backfired on them.
The AFC North leading Steelers get another big win and Pickens continues to be the most
entertaining player on the field. This game he tried to fight 5 guys while running out of bounds,
had an unreal catch, and choke slammed a defender but that’s just an average day at the office
for him. The Patriots got to show the continued development of Drake Maye and a much-
improved defense that bullied a bad Bears team all day long while the Jets season is over after
a blowout loss to the Cardinals. Justin Herbert and company have put the league on notice after
putting a clinic on the Titans. While this game featured Will Levis it failed to produce a wildly
comedic play. Levis looked kinda good but mostly bad in this outing and the Titans are back to
the drawing board. To close out the week the Dolphins showed some life in a big win over the
Rams. Tue did try to tackle a man solely with his head proving he has learned literally nothing
but other than that, he looked good, and Tyreek Hill was able to find the endzone again.
Betting Record
A brutal 6-6 on the day
