AFC Takeaways

The curse has been lifted! Mahomes and the Chiefs dark magic has runout as they had to face the white wizard, Josh Allen the Great, and this ferocious Bills team on a mission this season. Josh Allen the Great put this Bills team on his back and carried them into the endzone on a 29 yard rush on 4th down to officially put an end to the dark magic that is the Chiefs organization this season. Chiefs (9-1) and Bills (9-2 are the clear frontrunners for the AFC as we move through to end of November and into December. Russ looks to be “Unlimited” as he continues to cook with the Steelers getting a huge victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Even with Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson, the Steelers defense did not break as they held the Ravens to only 16 points. Two of the biggest surprises in the AFC seems to be the Chargers and the Broncos. Chargers climb to 7-3 on the year after defeating the seemingly unstoppable passing attack of the Bengals and Joe Burrow. If you are a Bengals fan all I can say is I am sorry, a team with an MVP QB and a future HOF WR putting up these offensive numbers should not be losing this many games, and I blame the coaches for this as their defense cannot seem to get stops when they need them. Bo Nix and the Broncos dismantled the Falcons this weekend and Nix is seemingly moving in as the new favorite to win OROY as winning games against above .500 teams seems to matter, imagine that. The race for the AFC looks to be a close race between the Chiefs and the Bills but we cannot count out the Steelers or the Texans at this point making this next month and a half of football very exciting to watch. If the Chiefs have lost their dark magic thanks to Allen the Great, I will make a bold prediction that they lose at least 4 more games based on their remaining schedule and NFL fans across the country will all raise a glass to that.

NFC Takeaways

Jared Goff must have taken offense to my comments last weekend and decided to not only bury the Jags but he stole their wallet, took their girl, and made sure the hole he put them in was deep…52feet to be exact. Although this is a jaguars team that has essentially written this season off and is playing for the #1 pick and getting Doug Pederson fired, this Lions team look to be the best team in the NFL with this beatdown compounded on top of the rest of the games they have played this season. Goff is officially back in the MVP contender position after this performance and we will see what happens as they have a few tough matchups coming up in November December. As we venture elsewhere in the NFC, the Packers never had a doubt as they blocked the game winning FG against the Bears. As much as Bears fans thought Caleb Williams was the answer, his painted nails and lack of ability to scored points for this offense has people wondering if getting rid of Fields was the right move as the Bears fall to 4-6 and last place in the NFC North. The Falcons continue to confuse everyone as they looked like the old Falcons team laying an absolute egg against the Broncos this weekend. Jayden Daniels and the Commanders lose to an above .500 team yet again as they cannot seem to get over that hump this year, just when everyone thought they were good again it turns out playing better than average teams is tough in the NFL as the Eagles climb to 1st in the NFC East after taking care of business against the commanders on TNF. One of the bigger stories out of the NFC is the 49ers, even with CMC back in the lineup cannot seem to figure things out as they drop another one to the Seahawks, making them last place in the NFC West. In summary, Lions look to be running away with the NFC with the Eagles doing their best to keep up…and as for the Cowboys, the season is looking just like their stadium roof, as it is falling apart.
