It is that time of year where people insist on having dinner at 3pm, you have to pretend some truly horrible dishes are edible, and tables become political battlefields. If your like me the key to avoiding all of that is to turn on the TV, tune everyone out, and place some bets. Lets look at this days slate of games before heading into rivalry weekend in football.

Bears versus Lions

Is this the game that finally breaks the Bears? This team looked like they gave up three weeks ago but after firing the most incompetent OC in the league the finally have some life. Williams is getting the ball out on time and is showing why he was the number one pick in the draft. The problem is they are facing a red hot Lions team that has a head coach, OC, and DC better than anyone on the Bears staff. This game may break the Bears as the Lions look to avenge their last Thanksgiving debacle and run the score up.

Best Bet-Lions -9.5

Giants versus Cowboys

Plan your nap time around this game as we have a barn burner featuring Drew Lock (I think) and Cooper Rush. This game will show the importance of having a good QB and running back under 45 (cough cough Zeke and Cook). I would keep this game on in the background and plan dinner and nap time around this slugfest. Personally this is my once a year tie bet as I want this game to end 0-0 just for the heck of it. Look for camera shots of Jerry Jones looking disgusted throughout the game.

Best Bet- Under 37.5

Dolphins versus Packers

The game of the day features a team notorious for struggling in cold weather headed to a freezing Lambo field. The Dolphins have routinely addressed that they aren’t afraid of the cold to the point its awkward, as they expression goes “The lady doth protests to much”. Look for Tua to regress from his post concussion self and their mini heater to be put out. Love finally had a game without an INT and even with Doubs being out this offense is strong enough on the ground and spreads the ball around to continue to score at an impressive rate. Look for this one to start off back and forth but for Green Bay to pull away in the second half.

Best Bet- Packers -3.5
